With ALL my heart?  Well, how about just the parts I don't care about anymore?  I can surrender my perfectionism, but not my emotions.  I'll happily give Him my ideas and emotions on home and comfort, but if He asks for that part of my heart that harbors my family?  *psshhht!*  The funny thing is that whenever I try to control those pieces of my heart, that's where the chaos lands!  ALL my heart... Plans

Plans.  I like those.  I like making plans and making them happen. 

I have all these happy little ducks that I get in a happy little row, but sometimes, when I'm least expecting it, BAM!  All my ducks go scattering!  They run around all crazy, like little fuzzy schizos and sometimes, they don't even know they're my ducks!

And, I betcha, God laughs.

He laughs because I've forgotten that He is the one who made those little ducks and it's HIS plan that matters.  It's HIS plan that will be complete...

It's the Little Things

Salvation is great.  I mean, the whole 'saved from hell' thing is really nice.  And the part about God being "Love" and lavishly pouring that love on us?  That's neat, too.  Actually, the entirety of who God is, and our privileges as His children is pretty stinkin' awesome!  BUT.  Sometimes God's big love just isn't enough.  It's all well and good that my eternity is sealed in glory.  I love it and it's wonderful.  It's my sanity for the next two hours I'm worried about!
